If you’re looking for a hormone-friendly breakfast, look no further!Â
Chia pudding is always a delicious, meal-prep friendly breakfast or snack, but this one has the added bonus of supporting your hormones with seed cycling.Â
Seed cycling is a holistic approach to hormonal balance, involving consuming specific seeds during different phases of your menstrual cycle to support optimal hormone production and regulation.Â
Instead of trying to remember which seeds to eat when, we love using the Funk It Seed Cycling Kits. The Nurture blend contains ground pumpkin and flaxseeds to support your hormones during the first half of your cycle, while the Radiate blend is made of ground sesame and sunflower seeds to balance your hormones in the second half.Â
This recipe leans on these convenient products to make it even easier to incorporate them into your diet. Simply choose the Nurture or Radiate blend, depending on where you are in your cycle.Â
In addition to the Funk It seeds, this recipe contains chia seeds that are packed with omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, protein, antioxidants, and various vitamins and minerals that support estrogen metabolism, digestion, promote heart health, aid in weight management, and contribute to stable blood sugar levels.
This recipe also features coconut milk and berries, both of which contribute to its nutritional value and flavor profile. Coconut milk provides healthy fats, including medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), which support hormone production. Its creamy texture adds richness to the pudding while enhancing satiety. Berries offer a burst of flavor and are loaded with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. Their low glycemic index makes them our favorite fruit for stabilizing blood sugar.Â
Incorporating these wholesome ingredients into a delicious chia pudding not only satisfies your taste buds but also nourishes your hormone balance - one spoonful at a time.
