Green Goddess Smoothie

This recipe is called the Green Goddess smoothie for a reason. Ladies, it has hormone-balancing nutrition making you feel like a goddess. The hormone balancing comes from the added flax seeds. Flax seeds contain lignans which bind to excess estrogen. They also contain omega 3 ALA fats which are anti-inflammatory. They are also a good source of fiber, which promotes natural detoxification. The greens in this smoothie are also naturally detoxifying- and they contain many vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients.

We can’t forget the protein here. Every meal needs protein, 20-35 grams, to be a full meal. Protein is the building block for all your body’s cells, plus it helps balance blood sugar. We need balanced blood sugar for happy hormones. We get the protein here mostly from collagen peptides and a little extra from the flax seeds. 

Not only is this smoothie super nutrient dense, but it also tastes great. It makes a perfect breakfast or a post-workout snack. 

Tip: drink the smoothie soon after you make it as the high-fiber content of the flax seeds will cause the smoothie to thicken with time. 


  • 2 cups frozen spinach

  • 1 small apple, cored and chopped 

  • ¼ cup frozen pineapple

  • 2 tablespoons flax seeds

  • 4 tablespoons collagen peptides

  • 1 banana, frozen

  • 2 cups water

  • ½ tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional)


  1. Blend all ingredients in a high powered blender until smooth. Serve immediately.
